This year, eSmart Recycling is joining Tampa Bay’s largest celebration of maker culture: Gulf Coast MakerCon, hosted by the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation (FCDI). And we’re bringing one of our most exciting and educational experiences — the Kids Deconstruction Zone.
It’s a fully hands-on, interactive space where kids of all ages can roll up their sleeves and take apart real tech devices! With the guidance of our team and safe tools in hand, they’ll get to dismantle laptops, computers, keyboards, hard drives, and more — discovering what makes technology work from the inside out.
But it’s more than just taking things apart. As they explore, kids will learn about the importance of proper e-waste recycling, how it impacts the environment, and how recycling can help create access to technology and education in underserved communities.
At eSmart Recycling, every recycled device is an opportunity to make a difference.
